What is this blog all about?

I am currently undertaking my 2nd year of uni, studying Graphic Design at Charles Sturt University This is my very first attempt at writing a blog. It is actually part of an assessment for uni.

This blog is all about the happening and thoughts in my life, as well as mentioning some motivational quotes and words of wisdom. I have titled this blog 'what you really want' because I am focused on getting what I want in life and succeeding. I wanted to share some information to help others in that same area.

Im back!

I am back again. We have to write one more entry in out blog. I guess its been a while and a lot has happened. Back at uni now after three weeks of holidays.
I worked pretty much full time for the first two weeks and the last week I had off. Which was good because I had a lot of uni work to do. I went away to Canberra to see my sister, and I also went to Bermagui. I had never heard of it until last week. Its a small coastal fishing town 40 min from Batemans Bay. It was nice and relaxing.
I went fishing for the first time while I was there. I didn't catch anything so it wasn't too exciting. I don't know how some people can go fishing all the time, I hate sitting there waiting and waiting to catch a fish. Its so boring. Also I hate the smell of fish so that really turns me off. I don't eat anything that comes from the water! I was also busy doing up my room in the holidays. I painted it, bought new furniture went all out, and now it looks really good! So I was very busy in the holidays. They could have went for a bit longer.

Final final quote....

I thought I would leave you with one last final quote, It is from a book called Pocket Positives, compiled by Maggie Pinkney. This particular quote is from the first lady of the United States of America, Eleanor Roosevelt: "Life was meant to be lived. Curiosity must be kept alive. One must never, for whatever reason, turn his back on life."

This could be my last ever blog post.....:( no no i'm not going to kill myself or anything like that, that sounds really official. Its just that my assignment that requires us to write in our blog is due tomorrow. So now I am just adding some final touches to it making sure it looks ok. Normally I cant wait until I get my assignments done and out of the way, but this one has become a kinda habit I guess u could say. I have just become so used to coming on the computer every night and typing something in my blog and fixing it up to look all pretty. Now what I am I going to do . I don't really want to stop writing in here, ill see what happens. I have actually really enjoyed learning all this stuff. (ha ha suck up!!!) No I really have enjoyed it. The best thing has been reading other peoples blogs, especially others from my class and those from god knows where. It is good to see how many people and who has actually looked at my blog, I have had people all over the world look at my work. Thats kinda exciting!

Thunder and lightning

Well is raining quit hard outside and there is lots of thunder and lightning. Dad always used to tell me to get off the computer when there is a storm or you could loose all your information. Is that true..?? Well anyway I better get off the computer incase that is true.

Just got back from Canberra

Just got back from Canberra. I had a really great weekend. Even-though it wasn't long enough. I have to work today so i had to come back. The best thing about going away was that we got to eat out for breakfast lunch and tea. I love eating out. I guess thats because I can't cook. We did all the tourist things, like go up to Telstra Tower, checkout all the sites. Also did a bit of shopping. We stayed at the Pinnacle Apartments which were really nice. Canberra is such a pretty place. Didn't have time to go to the art gallery though, next time maybe.
Im just designing a price list for my friend who is starting up a new nail business. so I have to go out to uni soon to use the A3 printer.

Romantic things to do...

Im so excited im finally finished all my assessments for this first term. Now I can pretty much just relax and take it easy. I still have to do a couple more things to my blog before I present it to the teacher. I had this assignment that is due on Monday, but I finished it last night so I can go away to Canberra on the weekend and see my sister. I wont be coming back till monday. Yeah I can finally get out of Wagga. Me and my boyfriend are having a nice romantic night tonight. We might go out for tea and to the movies. ohhh isn't that sweet. We never really do all that kinda romantic stuff, so its going to be fun. Just for something different to do . I was looking on this website of romantic things to do (click the romantic link to check it out) here are just a few romantic things they mentioned to do . I dont know just how romantic some of them are:
*Go through revolving doors together
*Take a road trip in a VW "Love Bug"
*Have silly pictures of the two of you taken in a photo booth
*Join her in the dressing room while lingerie shopping
*Make love in restroom aboard a plane in flight
*Make love in a closet at a friend's party
*Sleep spoon-style in a single bed
*Squeeze into phone booths together
*Make love in the back seat of a car......

Then we are off to Canberra to have some fun and do lots of shopping! Well i must be off the tv is calling me. Think Jerry is on now isn't it? I have been to busy with my assignments to watch much tv lately so i am making up for it now, before I have to back to uni for another class. Cya! xx

Quote for the day: 'It is a good thing to be rich, and a good thing to be strong, but it is a better thing to be loved by many friends.' Isn't that so true, friends are the most important thing. That quote was by a greek poet, Euripedes.

useless pieces of information...

...If you yelled for 8 years, 7 months and 6 days you would
have produced enough sound energy to heat one cup of coffee

If you farted consistently for 6 years and 9 months, enough gas
is produced to create the energy of an atomic bomb

The human heart creates enough pressure when it pumps out to the body to
squirt blood 30 feet.

A pig's orgasm lasts 30 minutes. (In my next life, I want to be a pig.)

A cockroach will live nine days without its head before it starves to death. (Creepy).

(I'm still not over the pig.)

The flea can jump 350 times its body length. It's like a human jumping the length of a football field.

(30 minutes... lucky pig... can you imagine??)

The catfish has over 27,000 taste buds. (What could be so tasty on the bottom of a pond?)

Some lions mate over 50 times a day.

(I still want to be a pig in my next life...quality over

Butterflies taste with their feet.(Something I always wanted to know.)

The strongest muscle in the body is the tongue. (Hmmmmmm........)

Right-handed people live, on average, nine years longer than left-handed people. (If you're ambidextrous, do you split the difference?)

Elephants are the only animals that cannot jump.(OK, so that would be a good thing....)

A cat's urine glows under a black light. (I wonder who was paid to figure that out?)

An ostrich's eye is bigger than its brain. (I know some people like that)

Starfish have no brains. (I know some people like that too)

polar bears' are left-handed.

Humans and dolphins are the only species that have sex for
(What about that pig??)

What do you really want?

I just went and got my eyebrows waxed, and boy did it hurt! I have been getting them waxed for a while how cause it quicker and easier than plucking them. But this time it hurt the most , I don't know why , I think the hairs must have been a bit longer this time or something. I am now sitting here with a damp face-washer on my face.
Anyway enough about eye brows as if you really wanted to know that.

I thought this blog would be about my title 'what you really want'. I choose that title as mum always says to me you always want everything. And well I guess that is true to some extent. Its not that I always want everything, its that I know what I want and I think about what I want. If I want something really bad I will work so hard to get it, weather it was to go well in my HSC or to buy that expensive outfit, I work hard to get it. I guess I have been bought up that way. My Dad has played a big part in that. I look around at all his books on the bookshelf and I see titles such as; Yes you can, See you at the top, Money, Live well or die rich, Choose to win and many more. All these books are about succeeding and working to achieve what you want. So I guess that is why I think it is important to succeed in life and reach your goals. Let me ask you what do you want out of life, do you think about it everyday or do you think I will wait and see what liffe brings me. Sometimes that is a good way to live, not to have too many high expectations of yourself or your life. But on the other hand if you don't set goals and aim for them you wont know what your full potential is. As you can probely tell I am kinda into all that goal setting stuff. I feel it makes me work harder. When I was in the Riverina Academy of sport for swimming, we would spend hours a week going through goal setting. So it has become second nature to me now. I had to attend many motivational, and goal setting talks During this time. I went and heard Brad Cooper talk, now I think he has been accused of fraud. I also listened to Lisa Curry-Kenny talk about her life and her goals which was very interesting. Have a look on this site it is about what you want. It asks you to name the top three things you want in life. This will make you think.

Nothing exciting happens when your sick

I am still sick, only just got up. Decided not to go to uni today. My bed was just so comfy I have to work thought which I'm not looking forward to. There isn't really anything exciting to talk about. I haven't really been doing much because I'm sick.
Im thinking about going to Canberra this weekend to see my sister. She is missing us all so we thought we might go over for the weekend. I have to finish my assignment before I go away. I have to answer 4 questions about film during the cold war. Sounds pretty easy hah. Well let me tell you its not. The text we have been given to read makes no sense at all. So I am going to have to find some different sources. Also each answer has to contain about 200 words. I keep on putting it off, but tonight after work I am at least going to start it.
